If you want to join the outings, you must be a member of U3A and you will receive notifications about forthcoming events. There are numerous outings and only a few are represented on this page.

The Ann van Dyk Cheetah Centre was established in 1971. As cheetah were highly endangered at that time, the main aim of the Centre was to develop and establish a successful breeding programme to ensure the future survival of the species.

The Hartbeespoort Aerial Cableway (or Harties Cableway), originally constructed in 1973, is a 1.2 km long cableway that extends to the top of the Magaliesberg and offers panoramic views of the Magaliesberg, Hartbeespoort Dam and the surrounding area.
The visit took us through the early days of opulence, the urban decay resulting from Nationlist government boycotting services resulting in 14 storey high filth and 23 bodies in the core of the building. To the present day where restoration has brought the building back to grand splendor.
